Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4, 1954. She is a comedian as well as an actress and writer. O'Hara is the proud recipient of several distinctions, including the Genie Award. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. In 2020 she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. She first came to the attention of an actress in 1974, as a member of The Second City improvisational comedy troupe in Toronto. With John Candy and Dan Aykroyd as co-stars, she was in the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara joined Candy on the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). She won the attention of critics both for her writing abilities and acting, and was awarded an Primetime Emmy Award, 1981 for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series. O'Hara was part of the brand-new Second City artistic Advisory Board that was headed by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board were Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
